Company Background

From Car to Finish was created to help people with the process of buying a new vehicle. Our staff has over 15 years experience successfully negotiating over 7500 new vehicles. We follow the retail auto industry closely, and are happy to answer basic automotive questions on vehicles to help people make a buying decision. We believe the best policy is to be honest and upfront both with our customers and with auto dealers, so everyone comes out ahead.

Challenge

From Car to Finish approached Solution Works to develop a website application that could automate the entire From Car to Finish Order Process. This included the following components:

An order form that was integrated with a live database of every type of car available in the United States
E-Commerce Integration to pay for the order
A back-end component which automatically assigned dealerships to the order based on the zip code and Dealership type (i.e. Ford, Toyota, Honda, etc.)
An automated form to input various costs associated with each dealer’s purchase
A completed report creator which included Advice on Buying a Car, all of the Dealer information and a full report on the specific Make, Model and Type of Car researched.

Using the CMS Works content management system as the base product and the Chrome Web Services Data Service, Solution Works was able to provide the above functionality and so much more including:

A place on the website to search for every car type available by set criteria
A fully automated system with reporting capabilities
The ability to update the site content automatically
An automatic email system that would send the customer’s a PDF copy of the report they ordered
